At an earlier FOC SD Board Meeting, it was suggested that a change of venue for the Christmas Party might be nice. The chairpersons, Alice & Rocky Gallo, thought that a Sunday Bruch, at the San Diego Yacht Club, could be the ticket and was pursued.
Boy were they right, with cooperation from the weather, this event was one of our largest attended Christmas Parties ever. The turnout was over 70 Members. With special parking, and the great weather, many members drove their Ferraris or other exotics. As normal, Members spent some time in the parking lot with “car” talk.
For many, the party started with Mimosas and a nice selection of hors d’ oeuvres. The sunny weather and the patio, were a perfect combination. After a lot of fun conversations and some party cheer, a wonderful brunch was served. The large buffet included crepes, eggs benedict and sliced Tri Tip followed by Carrot Cake and other desserts. Our favorite guitarist, Eric Dickerson, as usual, enhanced this happening. A special thanks to Nga Tran/Bob Burkett, for the SD Yacht Club connection.
All in all it was a fabulous Christmas Party.
