“Do it again” they said last year. The Borrego Springs Run in 2021succeeded so well that participants pushed for a repeat performance. The purpose of our trip was one to “see and be seen” as a superlative column of colorful, drop-dead gorgeous Ferraris presenting proudly on the roads and highways of the area.
Club member Gary Isley led the fancy prance from the front in his screaming yellow 458 Italia Spider while Gary Schultz managed the middle of the column in his rosso corsa 355 Spider and Sanjeev Thohan who, in his classic 308 QV, signaled success from the rear.
The 85-mile drive ran down the Montezuma Grade, a spectacularly sweeping downhill drive that drops a whopping 3,500 feet in elevation to our destination at La Casa Del Zorro, to a delicious lunch that stood reward for the hot and hungry but happy participants.
